Thinker, founder of folk art movement.
Inspired by B. Reach, studied W. Break.
He found the beauty created by an unknown craftsman in Japanese household appliances and created the folk art movement in 1926 with Shoji Hamada and Kanjiro Kawai, creating the word folk art.
In 1936, he established the Japanese Folk Crafts Museum in Komaba, Tokyo and became the director.
