Hagi Yaki has a history of about 400 years, and Taibi Yoshika was born in the Hagi Yaki pottery family, studied sculpture at the current Tokyo University of the Arts, and studied under Hajime Kato.
Hagi ware at that time was not well recognized as a work of art, and after returning to Hagi, the big eyebrows were energetically produced without being bound by traditional ideas and won numerous awards. He has been praised for his achievements by increasing the reputation of Hagi ware.
The soft color tone unique to Hagi ware and the high water absorption allow the tea to permeate as it is used, changing the texture of the base material and creating an apologetic atmosphere.
